About

A graduate of Oxford University, Greg Sumners studied Mechanical & Production Engineering. He furthered his education at the prestigious Henley Management College focusing on Business Management.

Greg began his career working for textile, footwear and furniture companies – during this time he became a practitioner of the Institute of Management Services. Moving quickly into management he held positions in Purchasing, IT, Sales and Manufacturing. He soon moved through the organization and became Manufacturing Director responsible for almost 1,000 employees.

In 1996, Greg joined Lectra at their World Headquarters in France as Business Unit Manager developing and implementing global sales, marketing and product strategies – within 3 years he became Director of the team. In this role Greg conducted business transactions in over 30 countries.

After a few years, Greg moved to Lectra USA to assist with the diversification of the business. His continued studies resulted in him becoming a member of the Sandler Sales Institute President’s Club. In 2005 he was awarded first place in Lectra’s Chairman’s Club for “Ability to Change and Adapt to New Challenges”.

2008 saw him become President, North America for Beamex, Inc. an industrial automation supplier to the process industries including Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power & Energy, and Food & Beverage, among many others. During his career he has spoken at numerous trade associations and published several papers.

In 2024, he decided to leave the corporate world and formed Milestones Business Consulting so he can share his wealth of knowledge and expertise to help other organizations.
